Soraya Darabi


Soraya Darabi is the Manager of Digital Partnership and Buzz Marketing at The New York Times, where she launches and oversees The Times's use of Social-Media platforms for marketing purposes. Soraya employs social media strategy to engage with readers on new media web sites. She also introduces the news, video and multimedia content of The New York Times to a new generation of fans, followers and subscribers. Prior to joining The New York Times, Soraya was an early junior employee at the communications department of CondeNet, the web arm of Conde Nast Publications, which included outreach on new product releases for Wired.com, Style.com and Epicurious.com. Soraya earned her B.A. in English Literature at Georgetown University. She was named one of AdAge Magazine's "25 People in Media to Follow" on Twitter.com. In 2009, a multimedia Facebook campaign Soraya organized on behalf of The New York Times on Inauguration Day won first prize at the INMA Awards, for excellence in marketing.





Florian Gutzwiller


Florian Gutzwiller is an entrepreneur at heart and a recognized visionary in the fields of cutting edge technology, corporate identity and corporate architecture. He is the founder of Open Systems AG, Switzerland’s leading supplier of security solutions for the communications and IT infrastructure of global corporations, institutions and NGOs. After heading up the company for many years as CEO, he now ensures as chairman of the board that the company’s fundamental vision remains intact while developing new innovative products and services. Florian is also the founder of Fondation Gutzwiller, which supports artists, writers, and other striving people, in connecting with patrons, who intend to help with the implementation of visionary ideas and projects.





Aaron Koblin


Aaron Koblin is an an artist specializing in data visualization. His work takes social and infrastructural data and uses it to examine cultural trends and emergent patterns. Aaron received the National Science foundation's first place award for science visualization and is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. As Technology Lead of Google’s Creative Lab in San Francisco, Aaron helped to launch Chrome Experiments, a website showcasing JavaScript work from designers around the world.



Marc Prensky


Marc Prensky is an internationally acclaimed speaker, writer, consultant, and designer in the critical areas of education and learning. He is the author of Digital Game-Based Learning (McGraw-Hill, 2001),and Don't Bother Me Mom - I'm Learning (Paragon House 2005), the founder and CEO of Games2train (whose clients include IBM, Nokia, Pfizer, the US Department of Defense and the LA and Florida Virtual Schools) and creator of the sites www.dodgamecommunity.com and www.socialimpactgames.com.





Christopher Schläffer


Christopher Schläffer is Deutsche Telekom´s Chief Product & Innovation Officer. At the same time he is the member of the Executive Committee of T-Mobile International responsible for Marketing. In his role Christopher Schläffer is in charge of Deutsche Telekom´s product portfolio across strategic business areas and bringing key innovations like IPTV, the mobile internet or new services around "Connected Life & Work" to market. He also takes responsibility for Deutsche Telekom’s Research & Development. Christopher Schläffer holds a master's degree from the Vienna University of Economics and has been elected Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.





Elizabeth Stark


Elizabeth Stark is a leader in the global free culture movement. She is a Fellow at the Yale Information Society Project, a Lecturer in Computer Science at Yale University, and an Adjunct Associate Professor at NYU. A graduate of Harvard Law School, Stark founded the Harvard Free Culture Group and served on the board of directors of Students for Free Culture. Elizabeth spent years researching for the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard, and has taught courses ranging from Cyberlaw to Intellectual Property to Technology & Politics to Electronic Music. Elizabeth is currently authoring a book examining the value of the abundance versus the scarcity of culture in the digital age.

Lucian is the energetic face behind BraveNewTalent.com, the new social network connecting talent directly to employers. He was named as one of Britain’s rising business stars by The Spectator Business and is on the UKTI (UK Trade and Investment's) Global Entrepreneur Program with BraveNewTalent being described by the UK Government as a "Technology company of Exceptional Potential". Lucian is using the BraveNewTalent platform to head up the global social media outreach for One Young World – the world’s largest youth leadership summit. Aside from BraveNewTalent, Lucian continues to run the youth focused charity Take Heart India providing blind and disabled students with IT skills thereby guaranteeing them jobs for life.
